The Anecdote Project

the long and short of it.

anecdote noun
a usually short narrative of an interesting, amusing, or biographical incident

Everyone has a story.

We tend to dismiss our own stories as insignificant…

but we enjoy movies and books and music…what are those, if not stories?

Sharing our stories is powerful.

Finding solidarity in other people’s stories can edify us.

Being able to anonymously confess something you’ve never told anyone before is freeing.

So tell your story.

Use the form below to share an anonymous anecdote.
Anything from one sentence to 300 words (no novels).
Please don’t confess any crimes here, that’s what the police and priests are for…
and keep it truthful…you ain’t gotta lie to kick it.

What kind of anecdotes?
Here are some prompts to get you started…

—What’s something you’ve never told anyone?
—What’s your biggest regret?
—Describe the happiest moment of your life
—Describe a time you should have gotten in huge trouble but didn’t
—What’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to you?
—Who is/was the love of your life? Did you end up with them? What happened?
—Describe a moment you’ll never forget
—What’s the hardest you’ve ever laughed?
—Describe the best or worst date you’ve ever been on
